Janki Devi Memorial College

Janki Devi Memorial College is one of the well-known women’s colleges of Delhi University. The college was established in the year 1959 by Shri Brij Krishna Chandiwala in memory of his mother Smt. Janki Devi. The college is located at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, New Delhi near the Karol Bagh metro station. The Institute has UGC and AICTE approval and is connected with Delhi University. It received a “B++” rating from NAAC during accreditation. It provides undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programmes in subjects like science, the humanities, and business. The prerequisites for the many courses the college offers differ. Candidates can submit an online application for their chosen courses. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET), followed by e-counselling, determines admission to UG courses. Candidates must take the Common University Entrance Test in order to be considered for admission to PG programmes (CUET).

Under affiliation of Delhi University, Janki Devi Memorial College courses include undergraduate, postgraduate and other short-term courses. The college receives 95% of a grant from the University Grant Commission. Janki Devi College under Delhi University caters to students of Delhi along with those of neighbouring states such as Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh as well as northeastern states Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura. It also offers eleven programs in Humanities, Social Sciences and Commerce at the undergraduate level.
