Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Â Admission Process:
The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) has been used by Delhi University for UG programme admission for all of its affiliated colleges. The full procedure is described below:
Phase 1: CSAS Â Application Form
- The centralised admission portal’s CSAS Â application form must be filled out by applicants, who must also pay a one-time, non-refundable application cost.
- Candidates for the ECA and the sports quota must pay an extra charge.
Phase 2: Selection of Courses and College Preferences
- After the CUET UG exam results are released, the second phase will begin.
- Eligible applicants must choose their courses and indicate their preferences for chosen colleges on the centralised CSAS site following the announcement of the CUET UG Results.
Phase 3: Seat Allocation and Final Admission
- The CUET UG results will be used to determine the merit list. There will be several rounds of seat allocation.
- Candidates must check the CSAS dashboard to see if a seat has been assigned to them. Candidates must accept their seat by the deadline specified for that round in order to participate.
- Seat distribution will depend on a number of variables, including the candidate’s category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) and the number of seats available. Other variables include the candidate’s rank on the merit list and the combination of the college and programme they picked.
- After receiving payment for a seat, the institution will confirm admission after confirming eligibility and document authenticity.
