About VIT Vellore
Vellore Institute of Technology, or VIT Vellore was founded in 1984 as Vellore Engineering College to provide students with global standard higher education in fields such as science, engineering, technology, business administration, design, law, etc. VIT Vellore is accredited by the NAAC with an “A++” grade and recognised by the UGC.
VIT Vellore course list includes 18 courses in undergraduate and postgraduate level. Some of the courses are B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Des, B.Sc, MBA, M.Tech and MCA. Admission to PhD programmes is based on VITREE scores, which are then followed by an interview process. The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in the prior qualifying test at the master’s level, as well as their performance in VITREE, followed by research output and a personal interview.
VITEEE 2025 registrations are open for admissions different courses, candidates need to get valid scores. For B.Des courses candidates must appear and secure qualifying marks in UCEED. VIT admissions to B.Arch are done through NATA. Scholarships are only given to students who receive a VITEEE score of less than 1,000. The VIT Vellore scholarship ranges from a 25% to 100% waiver of tuition fees based on the student’s ranking in the qualifying examination. As per NIRF Ranking 2024, VIT Vellore has been placed at the 10th spot in the ‘Universities’ category and 11th in the ‘Engineering’ category.

VIT Vellore Courses and Fees 2025
VIT Vellore fees range from Rs 3200 to Rs 1425000 per year, depending on the degree level, duration and specialization of the course. The college offers 105 courses at Ph.D, PG and UG programmes. Furthermore, VIT Vellore offers 23 courses in B.Tech, 7 courses in BSc at the UG level. At the PG level, the students can choose a wide range of specialisations – 32 courses in M.Tech, 15 course in MSc. Admission to VIT Vellore courses are open for the academic year 2025. For admission the college conducts GMAT. In addition to this, scores of MAT, NIMCET, Tamilnadu 12th, CBSE 12th, VITMEE, NATA, UCEED, XAT, AIEED, NID, VITEEE, CMAT, CEED, CAT, NMAT by GMAC, NIFT are accepted by VIT Vellore.

VIT Vellore Admission 2025
VIT Vellore admissions for the academic year 2025 will begin soon. For B.Tech, candidates must appear for VITEEE 2025, which is expected to take place in April 2025. B.Arch applicants will need to qualify in NATA 2025. Applications are tentatively starting in March, and the exam is expected to be scheduled in April 2025. For B.Des, candidates need to qualify in UCEED 2025. The registrations will tentatively begin in October 2024 and the exam is expected to be conducted in January 2025. For M.Tech, candidates can either take the VITMEE in June 205 or qualify in GATE 2025, which will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. Admission to the MBA program will be based on exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, NMAT, GMAT, CMAT, and ATMA. Additionally, courses like BSc, BCom, and BCA will have merit-based admissions at VIT Vellore without any entrance exams.
