Thapar University was established in 1956 in Patiala. The National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) accredited the university with an “A” grade. As per the NIRF 2023 ranking, Thapar University is placed 20th in the Engineering category with a score of 61.24 and 49th in Management category with a score of 51.67. The university also bagged a place in 601-800 rank band in the overall category of World University Ranking by Times Higher Education.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology also known as TIET Patiala offers UG, PG, and PhD courses in streams of engineering, management, sciences, and arts. Admission to these courses will be done based on CAT, MAT, XAT, and JEE scores. The average course fee for Thapar University ranges from Rs 24,000 to Rs 11,75,000. The university placement record has been 90% for the past 6 years. In 2023, the highest package offered to the students was Rs 55.74 LPA. With 300 acres of land, Thapar TIET Patiala University owns 6 schools and 2 campuses. The campus has modern and upgraded facilities for students including spacious classrooms, libraries, hostels, auditoriums etc.

University of Hyderabad was established on October 2, 1974, by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 39 of 1974) in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, and is recognized by the University Grants Commission. As per NIRF Ranking 2023, the University of Hyderabad bagged 10th rank in the university category. The University of Hyderabad courses include integrated M.Sc., integrated MA, MFA, MCA, M.Tech, and PhD to name a few. Admissions for the integrated PG programs are done based on CUET UG. University of Hyderabad admissions to MCA are done through NIMCET, M.Tech admissions are done through GATE, MBA admissions are done through CAT, and for the rest of the PG courses, admissions are done based on CUET PG.

Vellore Institute of Technology, or VIT Vellore was founded in 1984 as Vellore Engineering College to provide students with global standard higher education in fields such as science, engineering, technology, business administration, design, law, etc. VIT Vellore is accredited by the NAAC with an “A++” grade and recognised by the UGC.

VIT Vellore course list includes 18 courses in undergraduate and postgraduate level. Some of the courses are B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Des, B.Sc, MBA, M.Tech and MCA. Admission to PhD programmes is based on VITREE scores, which are then followed by an interview process. The final selection is based on the candidate’s performance in the prior qualifying test at the master’s level, as well as their performance in VITREE, followed by research output and a personal interview.

VITEEE 2025 registrations are open for admissions different courses, candidates need to get valid scores. For B.Des courses candidates must appear and secure qualifying marks in UCEED. VIT admissions to B.Arch are done through NATA. Scholarships are only given to students who receive a VITEEE score of less than 1,000. The VIT Vellore scholarship ranges from a 25% to 100% waiver of tuition fees based on the student’s ranking in the qualifying examination. As per NIRF Ranking 2024, VIT Vellore has been placed at the 10th spot in the ‘Universities’ category and 11th in the ‘Engineering’ category.
