IIT Mandi

IIT Mandi has start ed with the admission process for various offered courses. The admission to IIT Mandi for B.Tech programmes is determined by JEE Advanced results. The JEE Advanced 2024 is scheduled to take place on May 18, 2025. For IIT Mandi M.Tech admissions GATE COAP 2025 results will be announced around March 2025, which will be released at the official website i.e. iitk.ac.in/coap2024.

IIT Mandi is a reputed institute which is situated in the Kamad Valley of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. It was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) of the Government of India, as a second-generation IIT. The World University Ranking 2024 has been released by Times Higher Education for IIT Mandi. As per the ranking list, the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi ranking is under the 1001-1200 ranking band. IIT Mandi scored 27.6 in teaching, 11.7 in research, 38.1 in industry income, 37.9 in citations and 21.9 in international outlook. As per the NIRF Ranking 2023, IIT Mandi has been ranked 73 in the overall category and 33 in the engineering category.

IIT Mandi is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It offers UG, PG, Doctoral, and, Integrated courses through its 4 Schools namely, the School of Engineering, School of Basic Sciences, School of Humanities & Social Sciences, and, School of Computing and Electrical Engineering. The popular IIT Mandi courses include B.Tech, B.Tech-M.Tech Integrated course, M.Tech, M.Sc and PhD. Admissions to all courses are entrance-based. IIT Mandi is among the 8 new IITs established by the Ministry of Education in 2009.

IIT Mandi campus is spread across 538 acres of land and is equipped with amenities like hostels for boys and girls, libraries, banking facilities, sports grounds, etc. For the IIT Mandi placements of the 2022-2023 batch, the placement rate was 98% with a total of 207 students bagging placement offers. According to a recent survey, during the IIT Mandi placements 2023, IIT Mandi CSE students were offered an average payout of Rs 34.46 LPA, while DSE students were awarded a median package of Rs 32.22 LPA. The BTech CSE department earned a 98% placement rate for the year 2023, with 201 businesses visiting in total.
