Deshbandhu College, affiliated to the University of Delhi is located in Kalkaji. It was established in the year 1952 by the Ministry of Rehabilitation in memory of the veteran freedom fighter Late Lala Deshbandhu Gupta with just seventy-two students and is one of the oldest colleges in South Delhi. The motto of the college is to focus on both size and stature simultaneously. Deshbandhu College NIRF Ranking was 28 in the college category.
Deshbandhu College popularly known as DBC DU is one of the largest co-educational institutions in South Delhi offering courses in the fields of Arts and Humanities, Commerce and Science. In total, Deshbandhu College courses are offered in 20 undergraduate and eight postgraduate level programmes and cater to more than 2000 students every year.
The placement and recruitment cell helps the graduating students by giving them the scope to achieve their dreams. Through the Deshbandhu College Placements.students are placed in reputed companies and organisations like TCS, ICICI Prudential, IBM, Bandhan Bank, etc. The college also provides students with scholarship opportunities.
The sprawling Deshbandhu college campus, with its lawns, gardens and extensive grounds provides the students with a healthy atmosphere to gain knowledge. The campus is divided into three major blocks: an art block, an old block and a science block. Apart from this, the college also has a well-maintained library.
Deshbandhu College also gives the students a scope to be a part of N.S.S, N.C.C along with other cultural and co-curricular activities. The college also provides the students with a common room and gymnasium which helps them to maintain a healthy body and soul. Deshbandhu College Admission 2025
The Deshbandhu College admission 2024 will be based on the results of the CUET 2023 entrance exam for undergraduate courses. For seat allocation, candidates must use the CSAS 2024 application form on the admission.uod.ac.in website. The CUET UG 2023 application number and the application fee are mandatory for the submission of the form.
For seat allocation and admission, all colleges affiliated with Delhi University will use the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS 2024). Here, a seat is given to a candidate. If he declines this seat he will then will not be able to take part in the next seat allocation rounds. It will also mean that he has rejected the provisionally assigned seat. There will be at least four rounds of seat allocation for the CUET UG 2023 admissions process, with a possibility of five or six as well as some special rounds.
There are three phases to the CSAS 2024:
- The University of Delhi application.
- Completing the program’s necessary forms and information.
- Admission to the college and the assignment of seats.
The Deshbandhu College admission process is as per the guidelines of Delhi University. For admission to this college, the students first have to register themselves on the official website of DU. There is scope for admission for foreign students as well in Deshbandhu College under the Foreign National Quota. The candidates in these cases get admission through the Office of Foreign Students Advisor, in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
